By using ProcessorFit, you agree to these Terms of Use. ProcessorFit is an independent merchant research and decision-support platform that helps businesses understand, research, and compare payment processors. Please read these terms carefully.
ProcessorFit is an independent merchant research and decision-support platform. It provides educational content, research tools, provider profiles, comparison pages, fit-assessment tools, a cost calculator, saved research features, and — through a pilot program — personalized Merchant Research Briefs.
ProcessorFit is not a payment processor, broker, underwriter, acquiring bank, payment facilitator, independent sales organization (ISO), processor sales agent, or provider representative. ProcessorFit does not process card transactions, hold merchant funds, provide merchant accounts, or arrange processing relationships. ProcessorFit does not act as a financial institution of any kind.
Commercial relationships do not determine ProcessorFit's editorial conclusions.
All content on ProcessorFit — including provider profiles, comparison pages, pricing guides, industry articles, high-risk merchant content, methodology pages, and research outputs — is for general educational and research purposes only. It is designed to help businesses understand payment-processing options, trade-offs, and fit considerations, and to identify questions worth asking.
ProcessorFit content is not a substitute for direct verification with providers, professional advice, or your own informed judgment. Information may not always be current, complete, or applicable to your specific situation.
ProcessorFit does not provide financial, legal, accounting, tax, regulatory, or underwriting advice. Nothing on ProcessorFit should be relied upon as professional advice of any kind. Consult qualified professionals — including legal counsel, accountants, and financial advisors — for guidance specific to your business situation.
ProcessorFit relies on publicly available information, provider materials, merchant-facing disclosures, research notes, fit signals, and internal editorial analysis. Provider pricing, terms, features, eligibility requirements, and availability can change. ProcessorFit may not have complete or fully current information for every provider at all times.
Information marked as unverified, unknown, or needing verification is not the same as false information. Always verify important details — including pricing, approval requirements, fees, and availability — directly with providers before making any decision.
The Fit Check, Merchant Decision Center, and cost calculator are decision-support tools. Their outputs — fit signals, relevant providers, research paths, and cost estimates — are based on the information you provide and on ProcessorFit's available data. They are educational tools, not guarantees, rankings, professional advice, underwriting determinations, or provider approval decisions.
Calculator outputs are illustrative estimates only. They do not predict actual pricing, savings, or rates you would receive from any provider.
Saved research and Research IDs are a convenience feature that lets you retrieve a research snapshot using a unique identifier. Research IDs function as access links and should be treated accordingly. Saved research is not an account and is not password-protected. You are responsible for keeping your Research ID accessible if you want to return to your saved results.
ProcessorFit operates a Merchant Research Pilot in which a limited number of businesses are selected to receive independent research into a real payment-processing question. Applying to the pilot does not guarantee selection. ProcessorFit may decline, pause, or close an application if it cannot responsibly research the question, if the application is incomplete or inconsistent, or for any operational reason.
Selected merchants may receive a personalized ProcessorFit Merchant Research Brief. The Brief is a research artifact produced for informational and decision-support purposes. A Merchant Research Brief is not:
The Brief is designed to help you understand a payment-processing decision more clearly — not to push you toward a particular processor. A decision to stay with your current provider is a valid research outcome.
If you apply to the Merchant Research Pilot, you agree to provide information that is accurate to the best of your knowledge. Do not submit confidential, sensitive, legal, financial-account, cardholder, or proprietary documents through the application unless ProcessorFit specifically requests them through an appropriate process for a selected research engagement.
ProcessorFit may use the information you submit to review your application, conduct research if your application is selected, and follow up about the pilot. ProcessorFit does not promise consultation, advisory services, or a guaranteed research outcome. You are responsible for deciding whether to act on any information provided.
Indicating openness to publication on a Merchant Research Application is not consent to publish. ProcessorFit will not publish a business name, identifying details, quotes, or a research story without obtaining separate, explicit permission at the time of any intended publication.
ProcessorFit may choose not to publish a research story even if a merchant has expressed openness to it. ProcessorFit may use anonymized or aggregated learnings from research to improve the platform or discuss broad themes without identifying any specific business.
ProcessorFit does not guarantee:
Verify all provider information — including pricing, approval requirements, fees, and terms — directly with providers before making any decision.
By using ProcessorFit, you agree to:
You may not use ProcessorFit to:
ProcessorFit's content, editorial analysis, research tools, platform design, organization, and platform materials are owned by ProcessorFit or its licensors. You may use ProcessorFit for your own internal business research and decision-making purposes.
You may not copy, republish, sell, bulk extract, or commercially exploit ProcessorFit content without prior written permission. Third-party names, marks, and provider names referenced on ProcessorFit belong to their respective owners.
ProcessorFit welcomes corrections and updates to provider data. Submitting a correction does not guarantee that it will be accepted, published, or responded to. ProcessorFit may review, verify against public sources, edit, accept, reject, or ignore submissions at its discretion. Only submit information you have the right to share.
ProcessorFit may use submitted corrections and updates to improve the accuracy of public data and research quality.
ProcessorFit links to third-party provider websites and resources for reference. ProcessorFit does not control third-party sites and is not responsible for their content, accuracy, pricing, availability, products, or services. Provider terms, pricing, eligibility requirements, and availability are governed by each provider, not ProcessorFit. Your dealings with providers are solely between you and them.

ProcessorFit may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the site or its features at any time. Content may be updated, removed, or revised. These Terms of Use may be updated from time to time. Continued use of ProcessorFit after any update means you accept the revised terms. The Last Updated date at the top of this page will reflect changes.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, ProcessorFit and its operators are not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, ProcessorFit — or from your reliance on any information, tool output, research finding, or Merchant Research Brief produced by ProcessorFit. This includes, without limitation, damages arising from provider decisions, payment-processing choices, or business outcomes.
