ProcessorFit does not process card transactions, hold merchant funds, or act as a payment processor. ProcessorFit does not provide financial, legal, tax, or accounting advice. ProcessorFit provides research, educational content, and decision-support information to help businesses make more informed payment processing decisions.

Commercial relationships, if any, do not determine ProcessorFit's research conclusions, application review, publication decisions, or editorial treatment.

ProcessorFit collects information only when you choose to provide it — through tools like the Fit Check, Merchant Decision Center, cost calculators, saved research, the contact and correction request routes, or the Merchant Research Pilot application. Each is described below.

When you use the Fit Check or Merchant Decision Center, you may provide business context such as business type, country, sales channel, estimated monthly volume, average transaction size, feature needs (such as POS hardware, subscription billing, or ecommerce integrations), pricing preferences, and current payment-processing problems or concerns. This information is used to generate fit signals and research guidance. It is not used to identify you personally, and it is not used to route you to a processor sales pipeline.

If you use cost-estimate calculators, the figures you enter — such as volume and transaction amounts — are used only to produce on-screen illustrative estimates. These estimates are not pricing guarantees or savings predictions.

ProcessorFit offers an optional saved research feature. If you save a research session, ProcessorFit stores a research snapshot on its servers and provides you with a Research ID — a unique identifier that can be used to retrieve your results later. Research IDs function as access links and should be treated accordingly.

Saved research is not linked to an email address or account. ProcessorFit does not expose the raw answer inputs stored in a research snapshot through its public API — only processed research results are returned. Saved research is not described as an account and is not password-protected.

If you contact ProcessorFit — by email or through the correction request route — ProcessorFit may use the information you provide to respond to your inquiry, verify claimed corrections against public sources, improve provider data, or follow up if clarification is needed. Contact information is not used for marketing. Submitting a correction does not guarantee it will be published; every submission is reviewed before any content is updated.

If you apply to the ProcessorFit Merchant Research Pilot, you may provide: your business name and type; your website and current processor description, if you choose to include them; your payment channels; your payment-processing question in your own words, along with optional context about what prompted the question and what outcome you are hoping to understand; your openness to follow-up, to sharing documents later through an appropriate process, and to publication of a research story; your email address; and optional attribution fields such as referrer or campaign source.

This information is used only to review your application, conduct research if your application is selected, and follow up with you about the pilot. Applications are manually reviewed — there is no automated selection.

Submitting an application does not enroll you in marketing emails. Your application information is not sold. ProcessorFit does not use your application to route you to a processor sales funnel. Your business is not named or published without your separate, explicit permission — your indication of openness to publication on the application is not that permission.

ProcessorFit may create internal review notes, status labels, researchability assessments, publication-potential signals, and research themes to evaluate applications and manage pilot operations. These are internal editorial and operational records.

Publication potential is an internal research signal. It is not publication permission and does not indicate that any business will be named or published.

When you use ProcessorFit, certain information is collected automatically through analytics tools. This may include pages viewed, traffic source, approximate device and browser information, and interactions with site features. See the Analytics section below for more detail.

Analytics tools and other site infrastructure may use cookies or similar browser-storage technologies. ProcessorFit does not currently operate a cookie consent banner; if your jurisdiction requires one, that is a known gap.

ProcessorFit uses Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity to understand how the site is used and to improve it. These tools may collect information such as pages viewed, traffic source, approximate device and browser information, session behavior, and interactions with site features.

Google Analytics is operated by Google. Microsoft Clarity is operated by Microsoft. Each provider's own privacy practices govern how they handle data collected through their tools. Analytics data collected about your use of ProcessorFit is not sold by ProcessorFit.

ProcessorFit does not represent that analytics data is fully anonymous. These tools may collect identifiers or session data as part of how they operate.

ProcessorFit uses the information described in this policy to:

• operate and improve the platform and its tools
• generate fit signals, research guidance, and illustrative estimates
• review Merchant Research Pilot applications and conduct selected research
• respond to contact, correction, and update requests
• understand site usage and improve content and features
• maintain security and prevent fraud or abuse
• meet legal or operational obligations when required

ProcessorFit does not use information from Fit Check, the Merchant Decision Center, or the calculator to identify you personally or to route you to a processor sales pipeline.

ProcessorFit may share information in these limited circumstances:

• Service providers: ProcessorFit may use third-party service providers for hosting, database storage, analytics, email or communications, security, and site operations. These providers may process information only to help operate ProcessorFit.
• Legal or safety requirements: ProcessorFit may disclose information if required by law, legal process, court order, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of ProcessorFit or others, or to prevent fraud or abuse.
• With explicit permission: ProcessorFit will not publish a business name, quotes, or identifying facts from a Merchant Research Application without separate explicit permission, regardless of the publication openness indicated on the application.

ProcessorFit does not sell, trade, or rent personal information to third parties.

Indicating openness to publication on a Merchant Research Application is not consent to publish. ProcessorFit will not use a business's name, quotes, identifying details, or a research story publicly without obtaining separate, explicit permission at the time of publication.

Anonymized or aggregated learnings from pilot research may be used to improve ProcessorFit or describe broad themes without identifying any specific business.

ProcessorFit's Merchant Research Application does not include a document-upload field. Please do not send payment statements, processor contracts, legal documents, financial account information, cardholder data, or other confidential documents to ProcessorFit unless ProcessorFit has specifically requested them through an appropriate process for a selected research engagement.

If documents are shared voluntarily or by request as part of a research engagement, they will be used only for the stated research purpose and will not be published or distributed without separate explicit permission.

ProcessorFit keeps information only as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this policy — including operating the site, reviewing applications, maintaining research records, improving the product, resolving issues, and meeting legal or security needs. ProcessorFit does not commit to a specific deletion timeline for all data categories.

You may contact ProcessorFit to request access, correction, or deletion of information associated with your email address. Requests may require reasonable verification. Some information may be retained where necessary for security, legal, operational, or legitimate recordkeeping reasons.

ProcessorFit does not currently send marketing emails to Merchant Research Pilot applicants unless you separately opt in to a specific communications program. There is no newsletter at this time.

ProcessorFit takes reasonable measures to protect information it handles. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and ProcessorFit cannot guarantee absolute security.

ProcessorFit links to third-party provider websites and resources. ProcessorFit is not responsible for the content, privacy practices, or accuracy of third-party sites. Always review the privacy policies and terms of any provider you choose to work with directly.

ProcessorFit is intended for business users and is not directed at children. ProcessorFit does not knowingly collect information from children. If you believe a child has submitted information to ProcessorFit, please contact us so it can be removed.

ProcessorFit may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When it does, the Last Updated date at the top of this page will change. Continued use of ProcessorFit after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised policy. For significant changes, ProcessorFit may provide additional notice.
